hi-life music

Ke ke ke, sounds the fritwiwa;
Signalling the band, a 1-2-3 and go,
In a harmonious unison, bells,
An array of drums, strings, triangles,
A xylophone, trumpets, flutes, shakers,
Belt out a virtuosic instrumental style,
A blend of mono and poly beats;
The tempo of rhythms; pleasantly pleasing,
Fills the atmosphere with melody,
Pulsating and vibrant, the thumping,
Shakes Asaase Yaa to its feet.

Enters the rich baritone voice and voices,
Words and phrases, arranged,
To follow an intonation’s contour,
Awakening the soul, stimulating bubbly,
And spirited movements, dancing we call it.
Gleeful faces, radiating smiles,
Hearts full of ecstasy, Shouts of joy,
Whistling, clapping, and laughter echoing
Into the clouds and the galaxies in space.
Tis our appreciation for music so sweet,
So tunefully harmonious with nature,

Tis hi-life, nature’s own song of joy,
It’s her melodic conversation with us,
To stimulate our emotions and pulses,
Hi-life, an awe-inspiring experience,
Healing our sorrows and life itself,
Elevating souls above existence,
The message carried far and further,
It quivers and quickens our empathies,
Feelings of goodwill, peace and love,
Its hi-life, the buoyant tempo music;
The richest tune known to mankind.
