happiness

Who are you? O happiness;
Rivers, seas and oceans crossed,
Valleys, hills and space covered,
To seek thee, to find thee;
To our wits end and more,
Reveal yourself to us.

In dreaminess, we visualise you,
Non finds you in the present.
Glimpses of you, we have caught;
In the past, wetting our appetites,
And unearthing our voracity,
Deluded hopes, fill our days.

Where are you? Reveal yourself;
Everywhere, have we looked,
Stuck somewhere in the middle,
We know not, what we search,
Actions, thoughts probed and sifted,
Why do you continually elude us?

Happiness, a two course meal;
Served as rationality and emotions,
The recipes, philosophers offer,
Revelry, sincerity, consumption,
The actions and activities sold us;
By gurus, the clergy and conmen.

An inherent mystery twisted,
Deceptions, deaths and drama;
Pursuits, conceived and executed,
To know and attain your personality,
You are an illusionary activist,
Differing in definitions and moments.

You are desirable, O Happiness;
And mischievously enchanting,
Synonymous with the sun and sex,
Opposites we pass through;
Yearning and craving for you,
With honeycomb inspirations.
